Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Meridian, ID

Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to ensure comprehensive care. Take X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term health. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical histories in electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft. Adhere strictly to infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and safety. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. Proven experience in general dentistry and dental office settings. Proficiency with dental terminology. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft for efficient recordkeeping. Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform chairside task confidently while maintaining excellent patient care standards. Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate with team members.
