Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team! Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and schedule appointments using dental practice management software. Assist dentists during procedures by preparing instruments, taking x-rays, and ensuring patient comfort with enthusiasm and professionalism Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks, ensuring HIPAA compliance at all times Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing using medical coding including CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9 codes, and Meditech billing procedures Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, schedule appointments, and address patient inquiries efficiently Maintain organized dental records, file documents securely, and review documentation for accuracy and completeness Support front desk operations by managing patient intake, updating medical histories, and coordinating care plans with attention to detail Qualifications Proven experience in dental office settings or clinics with knowledge of dental terminology and procedures Strong computer skills with proficiency in office management software. Knowledge of medical billing, medical coding (CPT, ICD), insurance verification, and health information management standards including HIPAA regulations Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both English and bilingual capacities preferred Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining accuracy in documentation review and data entry Previous experience with medical administrative support including scheduling, filing, and managing medical records highly desirable Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in clerical tasks such as typing (including 10-key), filing, and maintaining accurate records Familiarity with dental terminology, clinic experience, hospital experience or healthcare office management is advantageous Join us to make a positive impact on our patientsâ smiles while advancing your career in a supportive and energetic environment!
