Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting orthodontic procedures. This position requires a blend of technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming environment for patients. Responsibilities Assist the orthodontist with clinical procedures at various dental offices throughout the Chicago area. Take and record vital signs, ensuring accurate medical documentation. Prepare treatment areas by sterilizing instruments and adhering to infection control protocols. Utilize 3D scanners for imaging and assist in creating dental models. Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes, while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Familiarize patients with orthodontic appliances and provide guidance on care instructions. Requirements: Candidates should have experience in orthodontic treatment, with strong familiarity in the following areas considered highly desirable: Willingness to travel to multiple dental offices within the Chicago area Experience with 3D scanning technology Familiarity with ortho terminology and procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience using Eaglesoft or similar dental software Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment We encourage individuals who are passionate about orthodontics and dedicated to providing excellent patient care to apply for this rewarding opportunity.
