Overview Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Front Desk Specialist, where your enthusiasm and organizational skills will be the heartbeat of our dental practice. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from appointment scheduling to insurance verification. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help facilitate efficient office operations, uphold patient satisfaction, and support the delivery of exceptional dental care. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software using OpenDental Verify insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility Collect payments and perform medical billing and collection activities, including Medicare and HIPAA compliance Maintain precise medical records and ensure documentation review for accuracy in EMR systems Assist with insurance verification and CDT coding Manage patient intake forms, file medical records, and handle clerical duties including filing and data entry with 10 key typing skills Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic or medical office environment with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical billing processes Proficiency in office management software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar dental practice management systems Familiarity with health information management standards including HIPAA regulations and documentation review procedures Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively Demonstrated customer service excellence with strong phone etiquette and patient service skills Experience handling insurance verification, medical coding (CPT, ICD), and billing procedures in a healthcare setting Comfortable working in fast-paced environments requiring multitasking, organization, and attention to detail This role offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of a caring dental team dedicated to improving patient health.
