Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Imperial, PA

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our established and dedicated dental practice. I believe thaat patients want to recieve the least amount of care over their lifetime. Your responsibility is to assist the patients in reaching their goals. We use Archy dental software, this cloud based software is very straight forward for any one who is familiar with any of the mainstream systems. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for delivering preventive and therapeutic dental care, assisting with patient assessments, and supporting the overall operations of the dental team. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and polishing to maintain optimal oral health. Take and record vital signs, medical history, and dental assessments in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and post-procedure care. Review and update medical records accurately using the Archy software Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures. Monitor patient comfort and provide compassionate patient care throughout visits. Assist with documentation review, medical coding, and billing processes as needed. Collaborate with dentists on treatment planning for pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, or specialized cases involving pediatrics or other patient populations. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current credentials. Experience working in dental offices or clinics, preferably with EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and medical terminology. Proficiency in patient assessment, medical imaging, vital signs monitoring, and documentation review. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry, four-handed dentistry techniques, and chairside assisting is highly desirable. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical records management. Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and work collaboratively within a team environment. Ability to maintain high standards of infection control and aseptic technique in all procedures.
