Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Arlington, VA

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant (DA) with over two years of clinical expertise to join our modern and successful Arlington General Practice Office. We offer all types of GP dental services including Invisalign, zoom whitening, in-office milling for crowns and inlays / onlays, etc. Invisalign scanning is a must. We are open weekdays only (no weekends) and we maintain "normal" office hours (no late evenings). Duties Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, maintaining aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Take and develop X-rays and other medical imaging, ensuring accurate positioning and patient safety Record vital signs, medical history, and dental information accurately within EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health maintenance Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and related fields to ensure precise communication and documentation Qualifications Minimum of two years of experience as a Dental Assistant in a fast-paced clinical setting Experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging, and 3D scanners preferred Strong understanding of dental assisting best practices including chairside assisting and anatomy knowledge Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration Certification in radiography or X-ray certification is highly desirable Ability to adapt quickly to new technology systems and maintain high standards of patient care If you would like to discuss possibly joining our fantastic team, please submit your resume and we look forward to meeting with you!
