Duties Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out procedures using dental practice management software such as MacPractice Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance claims processing using systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Schedule appointments efficiently while managing multiple-line phone systems with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette Maintain accurate medical records, review documentation, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and data security Assist with billing and collections, including medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10), and follow-up on outstanding accounts Manage patient intake forms, update health information in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems, and review documentation for accuracy Support clinic operations by filing medical records, managing office supplies, and performing clerical tasks such as typing reports and maintaining organized files Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist in a clinical setting with dental office experience preferred Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and multi-line phone system handling Ability to verify insurance benefits accurately and process claims efficiently using insurance portals like Medicare or other payers Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and health information management Comfortable working in fast-paced environments requiring office management skills and medical administrative support Join us in making a difference by providing top-tier administrative support in a friendly, professional environment!
