Lead Dental Assistant - Surgical & Restorative (4-Day Workweek) Sierra Dental - Atascadero, CA $28-$34 per hour DOE Full-Time | 4-Day Week | Private Practice Sierra Dental is a well-organized, patient-centered private practice seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our clinical team. We are looking for someone who can keep pace, stay organized, and take ownership of their role in a predictable, well-run back office. This position is ideal for an assistant who values efficiency, teamwork, and high-quality patient care, with the opportunity to grow into a Lead Assistant role. SCHEDULE - Monday-Thursday - Typical day: 7:30/7:45 AM start - 5:30/5:45 PM finish - 4-day work week (32-36 hours) - Minimal Fridays (approximately 1 per month, half-day) RESPONSIBILITIES - Chairside assisting (restorative and basic surgical procedures) - Maintain sterilization and infection control protocols - Ensure operatories are prepared ahead of schedule for efficient flow - Track and manage lab cases - Assist with handpiece maintenance and back-office organization - Support team members to maintain a smooth, on-time schedule - Help maintain a prepared, efficient clinical environment QUALIFICATIONS - 2+ years dental assisting experience - Strong clinical and infection control skills - Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented - Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Comfortable working independently and as part of a team - RDA preferred but not required COMPENSATION & BENEFITS - $28-$34 per hour depending on experience - Performance-based raise at 90 days - Paid time off - CE support - Retirement plan (CalSavers Roth IRA option after 90 days) - Consistent 4-day workweek TO APPLY Please submit your resume and a brief message.
