Responsibilities Act as the primary point of contact for patients, guiding them through treatment options, financial arrangements, and scheduling. Manage insurance claims, verify patient coverage, and ensure accurate medical documentation in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems named Curve hero Prepare and process patient billing using dental coding standards while ensuring compliance with HIPAA privacy regulations. Assist during dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques, including taking vital signs, medical imaging, X-ray processing, and chairside assisting. Maintain infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to uphold the highest standards of safety and cleanliness within the clinic. Support pediatric dentistry cases by understanding pediatric-specific dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and providing gentle care tailored for young patients. Operate advanced dental technology such as 3D scanners and manage medical records for accurate documentation of medical history and treatment plans. Requirements Proven experience in dental assisting or clinical support within a general or pediatric dentistry setting. Proficiency with EMR systems familiarity with Curve hero is a plus. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, and dental coding practices essential for accurate billing and recordkeeping. Ability to perform X-ray procedures and utilize medical imaging equipment confidently. Strong understanding of infection control procedures, aseptic technique, and sterilization protocols.
