Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Perform tasks such as taking dental radiographs, applying topical anesthetics, and assisting with endodontic and prosthodontic procedures. Maintain infection control protocols by adhering to aseptic techniques and proper sterilization of instruments. Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and documenting treatment plans using dental systems. Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently. Utilize 3D scanners for imaging as needed, ensuring accurate representation for treatment planning. Stay updated on medical terminology and coding relevant to dental procedures. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of endodontics, prosthodontics, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques is highly desirable. Familiarity with medical coding systems is an advantage. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A proactive approach to learning new technologies and techniques in dentistry. Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
