Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Collect vital signs and medical history information, ensuring accurate medical documentation and records management. Maintain infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures to uphold safety standards. Support administrative tasks scheduling appointments, and assisting the dental receptionist as needed. Skills Proficiency with dental software systems i Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience with medical imaging techniques including X-ray procedures and 3D scanning technology. Skilled in chairside assisting with a focus on aseptic technique and infection control practices. Ability to perform vital signs assessment and basic medical coding for insurance purposes.
