Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Hygienist to join our team on Saturdays from 8am to 2pm. This vital role involves providing exceptional patient care, supporting the dental team with clinical procedures, and ensuring a smooth, efficient dental practice environment. As a Saturday Hygienist, you will play a key part in promoting oral health and delivering top-quality preventive dental services in a friendly, welcoming setting. Your expertise will help patients maintain healthy smiles while adhering to all safety and infection control protocols. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to promote optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories to ensure safe treatment planning. Assist with chairside procedures such as applying fluoride treatments and taking dental radiographs (medical imaging). Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to foster long-term dental health. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories. Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to ensure patient safety. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist. Strong knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, anatomy, and medical terminology. Excellent communication skills to educate patients about oral health and ensure comfort during procedures.
