Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with a minimum of three years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols, and support the delivery of comprehensive dental care. Your expertise in dental assisting, combined with your knowledge of dental procedures and patient care, will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and cared for. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans, while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic to accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and medical history. Perform vital signs assessments and review medical histories to ensure patient safety before procedures. Support infection control practices using aseptic techniques and maintain a sterile environment in accordance with OSHA standards. Educate patients on oral health care instructions and post-treatment care while addressing their questions professionally. Handle administrative duties such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and managing patient flow efficiently. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information during all stages of treatment and documentation. Support four-handed dentistry practices by working seamlessly alongside the dentist to improve efficiency and patient comfort. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and medical imaging. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. Experience working with EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for accurate medical documentation and records management. Familiarity with medical coding practices related to dental procedures for insurance claims processing. Ability to operate advanced dental technology such as 3D scanners and digital X-ray equipment confidently. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles to effectively assist young patients in a caring manner. Excellent communication skills to educate patients about treatment options and oral health maintenance. Ability to work efficiently in general dentistry settings while supporting specialized areas like prosthodontics or endodontics. Demonstrated understanding of infection control standards and proper sterilization procedures within a busy dental clinic environment.
