Job Summary We are a well-established dental practice proudly serving our community for over 28 years. We are seeking a dependable and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team part-time, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time position in the future. Must be bilingual (English/Spanish required) Schedule Needed: Monday Friday Saturday Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are sterilized and ready for use. Take X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Conduct preliminary assessments including taking vital signs and documenting medical history. Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Educate patients on post-operative care and proper oral hygiene practices. Maintain an organized inventory of dental supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary. Uphold infection control standards in accordance with aseptic techniques and clinic policies. Skills Proficient in using EMR systems such as Dentrix Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures relevant to general dentistry, pediatrics, endodontics, prosthodontics, and more. Experience with medical imaging techniques including X-rays and 3D scanning technologies. Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently. Previous experience 1 year in a dental clinic setting is mandatory ; training will be provided for the right candidate.
