The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care while ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and safety in the dental practice. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient assessment, and infection control practices. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with both patients and the dental team to deliver comprehensive care in a friendly and professional environment. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry. Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to assist the dentist during procedures. Take and document vital signs, medical imaging, and other diagnostic tests as needed. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options. Review patient history and assess their dental needs to provide tailored care. Ensure aseptic technique is followed during all procedures to maintain a safe environment. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care. Stay updated on the latest dental technologies and practices, including EMR systems. Experience Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred. Proficiency in using Carestack software is a plus. Familiarity with medical coding, documentation review, and infection control protocols. Strong knowledge of anatomy, general dentistry practices, and pediatric care techniques. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating excellent communication skills.
