Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Duties Assist dentists during general dentistry procedures Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners and medical imaging tools, adhering to strict infection control protocols. Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, medical records, and ensuring HIPAA compliance for patient privacy. Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and well-being. Maintain a sterile environment using aseptic techniques, following infection control standards to prevent cross-contamination. Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care instructions, and oral hygiene practices to promote long-term oral health. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, medical terminology, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for accurate medical documentation and records management. Knowledge of infection control procedures and aseptic technique to ensure a safe clinical environment. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners with precision. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and working with children in a compassionate manner. Strong understanding of dental terminology related to general dentistry. Excellent communication skills suitable for collaborating with the clinical team and educating patients effectively. Ability to perform vital signs assessments accurately and support medical documentation requirements for comprehensive patient care.
