Overview Established practice (Non-HMO/DMO) in Columbia, MD is seeking a X-ray certified dental assistant. We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a strong background in dental assisting. Email your resume. The office is located right next to the Columbia Mall. Responsibilities - Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures - Set up and prepare equipment and instruments - Take and develop dental X-rays. X-ray certification is an absolute must. No exception. - Maintain accurate patient records - Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures - Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment Experience - Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental software - Knowledge of medical records management - Familiarity with dental terminology - Previous experience in dental assisting preferred Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Experience: Dental assisting: 2 years (Required) License/Certification: X-Ray Certification (Required) Work Location: In person
