Job Summary: Our well- established and professional orthodontic practice is looking for a highly motivated, team-oriented individual who understands the valuable role the Orthodontic Assistant plays in a practice. One of our amazing assistants of 40 years is retiring. This has created an opening in our very busy practice. We are committed to excellence, and we are seeking an excellent individual to fill this role! Responsibilities & Duties include (but not limited to): - Communication with patients regarding treatment and oral hygiene - Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for orthodontic procedures which includes sterilization - Intra-oral scanning and taking digital x-rays - Provide chairside assistance to the orthodontist during procedures, experience with indirect bonding a plus - Encouraging, educating, and motivating patients to follow the recommendations of the doctor - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records while managing a fast-paced patient schedule Qualifications and Skills: - Previous experience in orthodontic assisting or general dentistry is required. - Self motivated with the drive and determination to complete various tasks and goals throughout the workday.
