Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team! Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is ready for procedures Assist dentists during a variety of dental treatments, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging technology such as 3D scanners and medical imaging tools Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, ensuring HIPAA compliance, and accurately coding procedures in EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Provide vital signs monitoring and assist with medical documentation for patients with special needs or pediatric requirements Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and knowledge of anatomy to ensure a safe clinical environment Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and assisting the dental receptionist as needed Recommended but not required Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in dental assisting procedures and terminology Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures in accordance with OSHA guidelines Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging devices Strong understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and dental terminology relevant to general dentistry and specialized fields like prosthodontics or endodontics Experience with chairside assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry and providing support during complex procedures Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout treatments Certification in radiography (X-ray) is preferred; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or infection control are a plus Join us to make a difference in patients’ lives by delivering top-quality dental care!
