Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their visits. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient care, and aseptic techniques while working collaboratively with the dental team to promote optimal oral health. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatrics. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Take and develop medical imaging, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosing dental issues. Assist in the management of patient records and documentation using appropriate medical coding practices. Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and clean working environment. Collaborate with dentists in providing comprehensive care, including general dentistry procedures. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies to enhance patient care. Qualifications Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations. Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy. Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with medical imaging techniques is a plus. Previous experience in dental assisting or related fields is advantageous. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
