Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Murray, UT
Part-time dental assistant needed Monday-Wednesday 8am-6pm, Friday 8am-12pm Job Summary We are seeking a reliable, dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of dental procedures and terminology, along with excellent interpersonal skills to provide exceptional patient care. This role involves assisting the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the clinic. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including endodontics and other dental treatments. Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. Maintain strict infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize aseptic techniques while handling dental instruments and materials. Perform four-handed dentistry to enhance the efficiency of dental procedures. Manage patient records using dental clinic systems, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date. Educate patients on post-treatment care and proper oral hygiene practices. Support the front office as needed, including tasks related to dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is essential. Familiarity with infection control standards and HIPAA regulations. Proficiency in using dental clinic systems, particularly Dentrix. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients and team members.
