Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient care abilities, and a thorough understanding of dental procedures and terminology. Salary based on experience. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with all necessary instruments and supplies for patient procedures. Assist dentists during a wide range of treatments by providing chairside support. Take dental X-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient safety according to HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records using Softdent , ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, and treatment planning. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and dental procedures in a clear and friendly manner. Prepare and sterilize instruments in compliance with infection control protocols. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with dental receptionists and managing medical records for compliance with HIPAA standards. Operate advanced dental imaging equipment including 3D scanners for comprehensive diagnostics. Assist with specialized treatments in prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry by preparing materials and assisting with medical imaging. Ensure patient comfort and create a welcoming clinical environment. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Ability to operate X-ray machines safely while adhering to radiation safety protocols. Knowledge of endodontics, prosthodontics, and medical imaging enhances your ability to assist across specialties. Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively about treatment plans and oral health maintenance.
