Position/Title: Bilingual Dental Care Coordinator Status: Full-Time, 40 hours/week, non-exempt Supervisor: Maternal & Childs Health Operations Manager Schedule: Generally, MondayâFriday, 8:30 AMâ5:00 PM; occasional evenings and weekends may be required. Work Location: Henrico Clinic, 8600 Quioccasin Rd. Henrico VA 23229. Some work at our Richmond clinic location may be required. Position Summary : The Bilingual Dental Care Coordinator plays a key role in enhancing oral health outcomes for OB and pediatric clients. This position involves providing oral health education tailored to client needs, assisting with the scheduling of dental appointments, and supporting initiatives to improve dental care within the OB and pediatric populations. Key Responsibilities of Position Medical Clinic Update and manage oral health education materials and supplies tailored to the specific needs of OB and pediatric clients. Identify OB and Pediatric patients who are in need of oral health education. Deliver engaging, informative, and culturally sensitive oral health education to clients, promoting best practices for maintaining dental hygiene and overall oral health. Assist with front office responsibilities, including client check in and check out, answering client questions and providing resources to clients. Oral Care Coordination Remain informed with current OSHA and HIPAA regulations and complete mandatory annual training. Ensure compliance with all relevant clinical tasks within the dental assistant's responsibilities. Schedule pediatric and OB routine and hygiene care and urgent in-house dental appointments, ensuring smooth coordination with other healthcare teams. Take x-rays with Nomad if required. Assist with internal and external pediatric and OB dental referrals, working closely with external providers to facilitate timely care. Verify Medicaid benefits and coordinate assistance for patients. Access list kept in dental clinic of Medicaid-approved dental providers, regularly sharing it with the medical team to enhance care coordination. Ensure all required consent forms are signed before dental treatment for pediatric and OB clients. Collaborate with OB and pediatric teams to ensure accurate and thorough documentation of oral care assessments in patient records. (ICD-10 Dental DX Code) Confirm pediatric and OB appointments. Ensure ICD-10 Oral Health diagnosis codes are documented by pediatric primary care clinicians during annual or wellness visits. Development Ensure data collection and reporting are accurate and prepare spreadsheet when needed for OB/PED dental processes and outcomes for grants. Partner with the development team to provide impactful client stories highlighting the program's value. Monitor and ensure compliance with quality improvement measures related to OB/PED dental care. Preventative Care and Dental Assisting Chair side assisting for PEDs / OB clients in Dental Clinic as requested. Adhere to CrossOver Healthcare's dental assisting policies, procedures, and guidelines. Act as a scribe for dentists as needed, ensuring accurate and thorough documentation. Support a productive schedule by assisting with patient translations, scheduling, and follow-up calls as required. Wear and maintain appropriate PPE when required, following manufacturer and OSHA guidelines to ensure safety and compliance. Other Duties Assist with other duties as determined by the supervisor. Required Minimum Qualifications: Desire to provide quality care to the medically underserved. Ability to function as part of a multicultural team. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize work, managing multiple priorities. Care coordination or case management experience. Proficiency in Word and Excel and ability to learn new systems.
