Responsibilities Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced equipment such as 3D scanners and medical imaging tools while maintaining proper infection control protocols Manage patient records accurately within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout treatments Maintain a sterile environment using aseptic techniques and adhere to infection control standards Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and managing medical documentation and records Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy Proficiency in dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, medical coding, and medical documentation Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; experience with medical records management is highly desirable Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques in accordance with industry standards Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with pediatric patients is preferred Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the dental team and provide compassionate patient care Embark on your journey as a Dental Assistant where your skills make a difference!
