Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Anaheim, CA
Job Type: Part Time Dental Receptionist – Endodontic Office
Time: Must be available on Tuesdays. Some Mondays and Thursdays.
Hours: 8:30am-5:00PM
Location: Anaheim, CA
We’re looking for a friendly, dependable Dental Assistant to join our team at an endodontic office in Anaheim! This is a part-time position (1 day/week), with the opportunity to grow into more days over time (2-3 days)
About the Role: primarily a back office position, some front office assistance may be required.
Back Office Responsibilities Include:
Clinical Support
- Prepare operatory rooms for endodontic procedures (root canals, apicoectomies, etc.)
- Assist endodontist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilization of instruments
- Take pre-operative and post-operative X-rays (CBCT or periapicals)
- Use and maintain endodontic equipment (microscope, apex locator, rotary systems)
- Mix and handle endodontic materials (irrigants, sealers, etc.)
- Chart clinical findings and treatment notes accurately in patient software
- Monitor and assist with patient comfort and pain management during and after procedures
Patient Management
- Escort patients to and from operatories
- Provide patients with pre- and post-operative instructions
Sterilization & Maintenance
- Disinfect operatories between patients
- Sterilize and organize endodontic instruments and burs
- Maintain microscope lenses and operatory lighting
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly equipment checks and maintenance logs
Inventory and Supplies
- Track inventory and stock of endodontic supplies and PPE
- Ensure specialty equipment (CBCT machine, ultrasonic units) are functioning
What We’re Looking For:
- Spanish-speaking
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- X-ray certification and CBCT experience
- Positive, professional attitude
- Recent dental assisting grads are encouraged to apply. We are open to training.
Compensation: Based on experience, starting at $20/hr based on certification, skills and experience
