Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging technology such as 3D scanners while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols. Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, managing suction devices, and maintaining a clear field of operation. Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems - Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, treatment plans, and medical coding. Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort throughout procedures to promote safety and well-being. Support administrative tasks including greeting patients as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments, and managing medical documentation. Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred. Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding processes enhances your ability to support clinical operations effectively. Hands-on experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is advantageous for seamless record management. Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, anatomy knowledge related to dentistry, and sterilization procedures is essential. Experience assisting with pediatric dentistry cases is a plus, demonstrating your ability to work compassionately with children. Understanding of dental imaging techniques including X-ray procedures and 3D scanning technology will set you apart.
