What makes Our Practice Different Established, thriving practice with a loyal patient base Warm, supportive, team-focused environment Modern technology and a well-organized schedule A team that respects your time, skills, and expertise Positive, drama-free workplace culture The Ideal Candidate Licensed Dental Hygienist with strong clinical skills (Must be licensed to practice in AL) Friendly, confident communicator who connects easily with patients Detail-oriented and passionate about preventive care Team player who enjoys contributing to a positive office culture Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options Assist the dentist during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure smooth workflow Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office policies Monitor and document patient responses during treatments, ensuring comfort and safety at all times Skills Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft for documentation review and coding Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining high standards of infection control Familiarity with dental terminology, vital signs measurement, and imaging procedures Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to patient assessment and education Knowledge of HIPAA compliance, medical/dental records management, and documentation review processes Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Vision insurance License/Certification: Registered Dental Hygienist (Preferred) CPR Certification (Preferred) Work Location: In person
