Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a pediatric dentistry settings. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and available. Perform X-rays and maintain accurate medical documentation for each patient visit. Take vital signs and record patient histories to assist in treatment planning. Implement aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage sterilization of dental instruments and maintain an organized clinical environment. Support the front office with scheduling appointments, confirming patient visits, and managing patient records as needed. Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional patient experiences in a friendly and professional manner. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, particularly in pediatric dentistry. Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix is a plus. Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques is essential. Ability to perform basic dental procedures under the supervision of the dentist. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members. Certification in radiology or willingness to obtain certification if required by state regulations. A compassionate approach towards patient care, especially with children in a dental clinic environment.
