Overview Family-oriented general practice looking for a General Dentist to join our team. Located in Southport, CT, Southport Smiles Dentistry haven been providing comprehensive care to the surrounding area for the past 31 years. In this role, you will be providing dental care to multi-generational patient base. This position is available for Monday (8:00am to 5:00pm), Tuesday (8:00am to 5:00 pm) and Saturdays (twice a month from 8:00am-1:00pm.) Responsibilities Perform a wide range of procedures, including examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, and extractions. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, to develop personalized treatment plans. Utilize digital dental imaging technology and interpret results accurately to diagnose oral health issues. Execute dental procedures such as root canal therapy, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery with precision and care. Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols. Implement infection control practices using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and uphold clinic standards. Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures. Educate patients on oral health best practices, treatment options, and post-procedure care to promote ongoing wellness. Requirements DDS/DMD from a dental education program accredited by the Commission of Dental Accreditation. Valid state license to practice dentistry in the state of Connecticut. Current BLS Certification and DEA License. Proficiency with Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and medical records management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, infection control protocols, and HIPAA compliance. Skilled in performing restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, single rooted endodontics, and simple oral surgery procedures. Excellent communication skills for effective patient assessment and education. Ability to work efficiently within a team environment. Pay: $56,500.00 - $108,026.23 per year Benefits: 401(k) matching Work Location: In person
