Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant in our brand new, state-of-the-art dental practice. Here your skills and enthusiasm will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care! In this position, you will work closely with dentists to ensure smooth operations in the clinic while providing top-notch support to our patients. Your expertise in dental assisting will help create a welcoming environment and contribute to the overall success of our practice. As a member of our team, there will be great training and continuing education opportunities. What youâll do Assist dentists during various procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques, ensuring efficiency and patient comfort. Prepare and sterilize instruments, adhering to strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Take and develop X-rays, utilizing your knowledge of medical imaging to provide accurate diagnostic information. Manage patient records and documentation using EMR systems like Dentrix and Eaglesoft while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-procedure care, fostering a positive experience for both children and adults. Conduct vital signs assessments and assist with medical documentation as needed, ensuring comprehensive patient care. Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively. . Basic qualifications Proven experience in a dental clinic setting with hands-on dental assisting skills. CPR certification. X-ray certification. Willingness to help in all areas of the practice. Preferred qualifications At least 5 year of dental assisting experience Familiarity with 3D scanners and other advanced dental technology. Knowledge of dental coding and terminology to enhance patient interactions. Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus!
