In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain the highest standards of infection control and documentation. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly using infection control protocols. Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, implants, and pediatric dentistry by handing instruments and managing patient comfort. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners. Support front desk operations by performing dental receptionist duties such as posting treatment information, and updating medical documentation. Maintain a sterile environment using aseptic techniques, proper anatomy knowledge, and infection control standards to prevent cross-contamination. Skills Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix, for efficient record management. Strong understanding of dental terminology and anatomy. Experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and lasers. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners confidently. Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with dental team members including dental receptionists and hygienists.
