About the Position: Westchester Gentle Dentistry is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our growing team in Port Chester, NY. This role is ideal for a reliable and caring professional who enjoys working in a team-oriented environment and helping patients feel comfortable throughout their dental visits. Our practice has served families throughout Westchester County for more than 25 years, providing preventive, cosmetic, and restorative dental care using modern technology and treatment systems. The office is conveniently located in Port Chester, NY, near Rye, Rye Brook, and Greenwich. Responsibilities: Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures. Prepare treatment rooms and organize instruments and equipment for procedures. Take digital X-rays and assist with diagnostic imaging. Maintain infection control and sterilization protocols in accordance with OSHA and CDC standards. Provide patients with post-treatment instructions for oral care. Educate patients on preventative dental care and oral hygiene. Ensure operatories remain clean, organized, and fully stocked. Support smooth clinical workflow throughout the day. Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of Dental Assistant experience preferred. Experience taking digital dental X-rays. Familiarity with Dentrix practice management software preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus. Experience assisting with oral surgery or implant procedures is a plus but not required. Schedule: Monday - Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM. Friday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Approximately 40 hours per week.
