Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dental team to assist in various procedures, maintain patient records, and promote a welcoming environment for our patients. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical and dental histories. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups efficiently. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations. Assist in administrative tasks as required, including managing inventory of dental supplies. Experience Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Knowledge of prosthodontics and related procedures is beneficial. Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental software systems is desirable. Understanding of dental terminology, and imaging techniques is advantageous.
