Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice by providing exceptional administrative support and patient service. This position requires strong organizational skills, familiarity with medical terminology, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Must be bilingual with receptionist experience must have reliable transportation Responsibilities Greet patients and manage front desk operations, including answering phones and scheduling appointments. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with medical billing and coding, including CPT and ICD-10 coding. Verify insurance eligibility and handle medical collections as needed. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or Dentrix for patient management. Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and managing correspondence. Assist in the preparation of care plans and coordinate patient intake processes. Ensure the dental office is organized and equipped for daily operations. Requirements Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology, dental terminology, and EHR systems is essential. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable using multi-line phone systems. Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new software quickly. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
