Job Summary We are seeking a Dental Receptionist to join our small dental team! In this essential role, you will be the friendly first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from the moment they walk through our doors. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their appointment details, and assist with check-in and check-out procedures using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Open Dental Manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing accurate information and scheduling appointments efficiently Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks Collect payments Maintain patient records meticulously, review documentation for completeness, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for health information management Schedule appointments proactively while managing cancellations and rescheduling to optimize clinic flow Assist with administrative duties such as supporting overall clinic operations to enhance patient service experience Qualifications Proven experience in customer service and/or as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist with clinic or dental office experience preferred Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently Knowledge of dental terminology and health information management standards such as HIPAA compliance required Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Prior office management or clerical experience in a healthcare setting is highly desirable Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in documentation review and administrative support tasks Join us in creating a positive environment where patients feel valued and cared for!
