Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments by providing chairside support and maintaining a sterile environment in every aspects of dentistry such as fillings, crown, endo, surgery and ortho. Prepare patients for dental procedures by explaining treatment plans and ensuring their comfort. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups as a dental receptionist. Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as practice web, open dental. Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance workflow during procedures. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging as needed. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques throughout the clinic. Support pediatric dentistry practices by providing specialized care for younger patients. Skills Proficiency in EMR systems such as practice web, open dental. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices. Experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics. Familiarity with medical documentation, medical records management, and medical coding. Ability to operate a 3D scanner for advanced imaging techniques. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members. Attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records and ensure clinic efficiency. Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable.
