Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Take and develop high-quality X-ray images in accordance with infection control and aseptic techniques, ensuring accurate medical imaging for diagnosis Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining strict sterilization and infection control protocols aligned with HIPAA regulations Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic to ensure accurate documentation of medical and dental histories Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort throughout procedures, providing support as needed in pediatric dentistry settings Support the dental reception process by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and managing medical records securely Perform dental assisting duties including taking impressions with 3D scanners, assisting with medical coding, and understanding dental terminology for effective communication Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with Extended Functions authorization from an accredited program EF2 Proven experience in general dentistry with a focus on pediatric dentistry preferred Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing electronic health records and medical documentation Strong knowledge of anatomy, dental terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety standards and HIPAA compliance Familiarity with medical terminology and medical coding to ensure precise documentation of procedures Experience working in a fast-paced dental clinic environment with excellent organizational skills Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and procedures is highly desirable Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to delivering outstanding dental care!
