Registered Dental Hygienist - Dentistry of East Colonial - Tavares, FL

Overview Hi we are Dentistry of Tavares seeking a dental hygienist for a busy private practice open Monday through Friday 8-5 and some Saturdays. The schedule is open to flexibility as we have different hygienist on rotation or full-time schedule is available. We offer competitive wages and PTO, possible medical stipend available at one year anniversary. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current medications to ensure safe treatment plans. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and lifestyle habits to promote long-term oral health. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Open Dental Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, providing chairside assistance and managing patient anxiety with professionalism and care. Qualifications Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or dental clinics with familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and medical coding practices.
