Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional patient care by performing dental cleanings, assessments, and education while supporting the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your expertise will help foster a positive experience for our patients and uphold the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health. Assess patientsâ oral health status through visual examinations and vital signs monitoring. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies. Assist with dental procedures by preparing treatment areas and passing instruments in a four-handed dentistry setup. Review medical records and documentation to ensure accurate patient histories and treatment notes. Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and medical coding. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification. Proven experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, or dental clinics with a focus on pediatrics preferred. Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and understanding of anatomy relevant to oral health. Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Knowledge of infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes. Strong patient care skills with the ability to perform patient assessments confidently. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment practicing four-handed dentistry techniques. Excellent communication skills to educate patients clearly about their oral health needs.
