Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Allentown, PA
Job Overview Join our dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment. In this important role, you will support dentists by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are followed. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments with precision and confidence. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and safety. Operate dental equipment including 3D scanners and medical imaging devices with proper technical knowledge- will train Collaborate with the dental team on four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow efficiency. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment following infection control standards and OSHA guidelines. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Familiarity with Dentrix- will train Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic technique. Ability to operate X-ray machines safely while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Certification or training in chairside assisting Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and support team collaboration.
