Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and dental examinations to inform treatment plans Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations Assist with chairside procedures such as applying sealants or fluoride treatments in collaboration with dentists Utilize dental software systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for accurate documentation of patient records and treatment notes Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed using aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment Review medical records and documentation to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and accurate medical coding Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a general or pediatric dentistry setting, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and understanding of anatomy related to oral health Hands-on experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for efficient record keeping Knowledge of infection control standards, sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques necessary for safe practice Ability to perform patient care tasks including vital signs measurement, dental imaging, and patient assessment Strong understanding of dental assisting procedures and chairside assisting skills in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively while maintaining professionalism and compassion Join us to make a difference in patientsâ lives through compassionate care and technical excellence!
