The ideal candidate has a background in hygiene and is looking for a team-oriented place where they can enjoy helping patients in need. The position involves treating patients of all ages, conducting preventative education, and assisting in the overall dental care of patients. Responsibilities Update medical history and medication list with patient Evaluate oral health, examining oral cavities for signs of periodontal disease, including recessed and bleeding gums and oral cancer screening Clean deposits and stains from teeth and beneath gum margins with dental instruments. Provide oral health education and counseling to patients to maintain optimum oral health Chart conditions of dental decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment. Apply fluoride and sealants to prevent dental decay. Sterilize and maintain dental equipment. Maintain a clean and well stocked operatory Radiograph patients as needed Requirements Valid PA Dental Hygienist license (Required) Valid CPR Certification Responsible for maintaining continuing education credits for license renewal Anesthesia license (Preferred) Us work authorization Job Type: Full-time Pay: $42.00 - $45.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Work Location: In person
