Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up dental materials, ensuring strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments Take and develop high-quality dental X-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans, while maintaining patient safety and comfort Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic to ensure accurate medical documentation and coding Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort throughout procedures to promote a positive experience Provide comprehensive patient education on oral health, post-treatment care, and hygiene practices Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and managing medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with familiarity in dental assisting techniques and terminology Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and anatomy relevant to dentistry Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while following HIPAA guidelines for patient privacy Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a difference every day!
