Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our state of the art private dental office. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic while assisting dentists in various procedures. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in the system. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Utilize dental software (Open Dental) for record management and appointment scheduling. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role in a dental clinic setting. Familiarity with dental terminology, and general dentistry practices. Knowledge of vital signs monitoring. Experience with CBCT is an advantage. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records. Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, including children. Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards of care. Certification or diploma from an accredited dental assistant program.
