Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic, providing exceptional care to our patients, particularly in the field of pediatric dentistry. This position requires a compassionate individual who is eager to support both the dental team and our young patients through their dental experiences. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols. Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care, particularly for pediatric patients. Maintain an aseptic technique throughout all procedures to ensure patient safety. Manage patient appointments and maintain accurate dental records within the clinic's system. Support various dental specialties including endodontics and general dentistry as needed. Skills Proficiency in pediatric dentistry practices and understanding of dental terminology. Experience with X-ray technology and knowledge of vital signs monitoring. Familiarity with aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment. Basic understanding of anatomy related to dental health and procedures. Experience with 3D scanning technology is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records and appointments. Excellent communication skills, especially when interacting with children and their guardians in a dental clinic setting.
