Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive dental services to pediatric patients, including examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and preventive care. Perform oral surgery procedures such as dental extractions and manage complex cases with precision and care. Utilize advanced dental technology and imaging techniques to diagnose and develop effective treatment plans. Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols rigorously to ensure patient safety and hygiene standards are maintained. Educate young patients and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices, dietary habits, and preventive measures. Collaborate with dental assistants in four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency and patient comfort during procedures. Maintain accurate medical documentation, dental records, and treatment notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Qualifications Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution. Valid state license to practice dentistry with specialization or certification in pediatric dentistry preferred. Proven experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment, especially with pediatric patients. Proficiency with dental software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for patient management and record keeping. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control standards. Skilled in performing root canal therapy, dental fabrication, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery procedures. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate clearly with children and their families.
