Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Moline, IL
We are seeking a motivated, part-time (1-2 days/week) Dental Hygienist to add or our talented and skilled hygiene team; someone engaged in patient education and premium care. Our hope is for long-term employment for one who is personally invested in their career. Wage will be based on experience. Job duties will include, but not limited to: - Prepare treatment room prior to patient arrival including maintaining a clean operatory complying with all procedures, rules and regulations - Prepare the pt for treatment by welcoming & seating, reviewing and updating health history, recording blood pressure - Providing a tailored experience through pt education, answering questions, & fulfilling any reasonable requests. Conversations with patients will be purposeful and not personal. - Prepare for the day's scheduled patients knowing when/what x-rays are appropriate, probing depths are due to be recorded, what treatment recommendations have not been fulfilled, etc. - Instrument sharpening and sterilization - Performing thorough adult and children prophies, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing while ensuring patient comfort - Oral cancer screening - Periodontal assessment including annual probing depths - Providing oral hygiene instruction during treatment and post - operative instructions - Documentation of service notes, recording doctor's recommendations - Maintain PHI - Strict adherence to infection-control policies and protocols - Ensure the continual and safe operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance - Phoning & motivating patients to schedule who may be overdue for their routine dental care - Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed Job Type: Part-time Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) matching Employee discount Schedule: 8 hour shift Education: Associate (Required) License/Certification: Registered Dental Hygienist (Required) Anesthesia Certification (Preferred) Work Location: In person
