Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Herriman, UT

Want to be part of an amazing dental office in Herriman, Utah? Copper Mountain Dental is Hiring! We are looking for someone of good character who is trustworthy, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, cheerful, and warm but can also be firm and strong when needed. We are looking for someone who can help both as an assistant as well as doing front desk. Must have some experience in a dental office but we can train the right candidate who is teachable to gain skills in both front desk and assisting. Ideal candidate would have experience using Open Dental. Responsibilities include: answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, assisting office manager with insurance, taking payments, helping the office to work smoothly and efficiently. We would like someone who can also assist the doctor and or hygienists so could be able to do both front desk and assisting. Ideal candidate would have experience with dental assisting and front desk at a dental office. Ability to speaking Spanish is a plus too! The office is currently open Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays except when closed on occasion when Doctor has to take time off. We are also occasionally open on Wednesdays when we need to fit in more patients (usually on a week when we are closed on Friday). Pay depends on level of experience and proficiency. Schedule flexibility is a plus. Responsibilities Greet and welcome patients as soon as they arrive at the office Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls Assist Doctor and Hygienists as needed Help with cleaning the office and doing sterilization Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures) Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock Update calendars and schedule meetings Keep updated records of office expenses and costs Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing Skills Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role Proficiency in Open Dental, phones, and dental insurance claims would be ideal Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers) Professional attitude and appearance Solid written and verbal communication skills Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise Excellent organizational skills Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks Customer service attitude High school degree Job Type: Part-time Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Experience: Dental Assisting: 2 years (Required) Work Location: In person
