We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Dental Insurance Coordinator / Patient Services Coordinator to join our dental team. This role focuses on assisting patients with insurance-related questions, verifying benefits, processing claims, and supporting patient scheduling and communication. The ideal candidate has experience with dental insurance, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing excellent patient service. Key Responsibilities Patient Services Greet patients and assist with check-in and check-out Answer phone calls and assist patients with appointment scheduling Confirm upcoming appointments and communicate necessary information to patients Collect copayments and outstanding balances Update and maintain patient demographic and insurance information Provide clear explanations of treatment estimates and patient financial responsibility Insurance Coordination Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits prior to patient appointments Prepare and review insurance breakdowns for scheduled patients Submit dental insurance claims electronically and ensure accuracy Monitor claim status and follow up on outstanding or unpaid claims Post insurance payments and adjustments accurately Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues or denials Assist patients with understanding their insurance coverage and benefits Qualifications Previous dental insurance or dental office experience required Knowledge of dental insurance plans, claims processing, and EOBs Experience with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, etc.) Strong customer service and communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment High school diploma or equivalent required Benefits Paid holidays Paid time off (PTO) Health insurance Dental insurance Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Work Location: In person
