Overview We are seeking a skilled dental hygienist to round out our dental hygiene team. The right candidate will possess a strong background in dental hygiene, patient care, and infection control, with a passion for promoting oral health. This role involves delivering preventive dental services, educating patients, and supporting overall clinical operations to ensure optimal patient outcomes. New graduates are welcome to apply, we do offer valuable training with a senior dental hygienist. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to inform treatment plans. Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, dietary habits, and preventive care strategies tailored to individual needs. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while ensuring proper documentation review and record keeping in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage medical records accurately Monitor and document patient responses during treatment, ensuring thorough communication of findings and recommendations. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment following infection control standards and aseptic techniques. Skills Proficiency in dental software is preferred but we will train the right applicant! Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and documentation review processes. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse patient populations. Familiarity with HIPAA compliance standards for safeguarding patient information. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental practice and experience working within dental office or clinic environments.
